Kippi Griffith, MBA '01

Kippi earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from
St. Edward's University. A native Texan, she enjoys chasing after her two children, spending time with family and reading. She came to the Office of Alumni and Parent Programs in March 2004 after serving as associate director of alumni relations for the McCombs School of Business, UT–Austin. Kippi previously worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admission at
St. Edward's University and as the volunteer and information manager for the American Cancer Society.

Jay Griffith Hume

A graduate of Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, Jay studied Business Administration, concentrating in International Management. He was hired by St. Edward’s University in 2002 as a development assistant. Jay then joined the Office of Alumni and Parent Programs in 2005 as assistant director of The St. Edward’s Fund — he was promoted in 2006 to associate director. A dog lover, he enjoys cooking, soccer, movies and any activity involving the water.

Allyson Rose Schaeffer, '03

Allyson earned a bachelor's degree in Communication from
St. Edward's University. Originally from Dallas, she joined the Office of Alumni and Parent Programs in April 2004. As a student, Allyson held the positions of program assistant in the Office of Student Life and student orientation leader in the Dean of Students Office. She enjoys live music, baking, gardening and spoiling her two dogs.

Courtney Hankins

Courtney earned a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Texas State University at San Marcos. After graduation, she traveled as a consultant for her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, and worked at Austin Community College in the Office of Student Life. Born in Texas, she has also lived in Little Rock, Ark., and Phoenix, Ariz. She enjoys going to concerts, spending time with her friends and being at the farm with her family in Missouri. She joined Alumni and Parent Programs in 2006.

John Newton

A native Texan — and major San Antonio Spurs fan — John earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he later worked as a development officer. He then went on to work in admissions at the University of Oregon and alumni relations at Regis University before becoming part of the Alumni and Parent Programs team at St. Edward’s. In addition, John spent a year serving in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. His interests and hobbies include reading, traveling, cooking, hiking and biking. He even went to France for the Tour de France in 2001, which was won by Lance Armstrong.

Kristina Weaner

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication from
St. Edward’s University in May 2007, Kristina — an Austin native — joined the Office of Alumni and Parent Programs as the development assistant. While still a student, Kristina completed an internship at the Lower Colorado River Authority. Her experience at LCRA included coordinating volunteer events and working with the in-house charity, United Charities. During her free time, she can be found on the beach in Port Aransas or spending time with loved ones.
