Account: All faculty and staff at St. Edward's University
receive an account on the admin computer which includes access
to e-mail, EdShare and Blackboard. See the New Employee section

Classroom Support: Every classroom
is a SMART classroom with
- Wired and wireless Internet access,
- Computer with DVD player and a 1 GHz processor or faster
- An integrated control system
- A projector with at least 1700 ANSI lumens
- Amplified sound
- VCR
- Laptop input accessibility
Support and training on classroom equipment is provided by Media
Services.
Instructional Support: Guidance
and support for faculty through the process of integrating technology
into course curricula is available through Instructional
Computing. The Faculty Resource Center in Premont Hall houses high-end technologies which include 4 PowerMac G5 workstations with OS X and 4 Dell workstations with Windows XP Professional, flatbed & film scanners, audio and video editing equipment, B&W laser and color inkjet printing.
Computer Support: All faculty,
staff and student computer support is centralized through the
Computer Help Desk (x8443). A list of supported software may be

Computer Hardware and Software Purchases:
All computer hardware and software on campus is purchased through
IT. See the Technical
Acquisitions web site for information on ordering for on campus
systems as well as educationional discounts available for personal
purchases.
Computer Labs: Computers and printers are available to students through the Student Computing Labs. Facilities include two 24 hour labs.
