Turnitin.com is an online resource for plagarism
prevention. GradeMark is a Turnitin application that allows
faculty to mark up papers online.
Suppported Web Browsers
Turnitin supports the following web browsers:
PC (Windows XP/2000/Me/98/NT)
Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher
Firefox
Netscape 7.0 and higher
Mac (OS X/9)
Safari 1.0 and higher
Firefox
Netscape 7.0 and higher
If you are having problems using GradeMark
try the following:
- Add https://www.turnitin.com and http://www.turnitin.com to
your trusted zones list in Internet Explorer. To do this
with IE 6, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Security tab and then click on Trusted sites.
Click on the sites button and add the turnitin web addresses.
- Clear the files in the temporary
internet folder (cache) and then
re-attempt access to Grade Mark. On Firefox, the cache
option is found under "Options",
then "advanced",
then "network". Grade Mark will save information
to the cache to prevent having to re-download it, but a
small cache may cause slower load times
or if information that is not current is still cached,
there is a possibility that browser and computer settings
will conflict with the Grade Mark program automatically
reloading this data.
- Another suggestion is to disable any non-required "Add
Ons" in
Internet Explorer. This includes Add-Ons like Google,
Google Toolbar, Yahoo, etc.
