Turnitin.com is an online resource for plagarism
prevention. St. Edward's University subscribes to the
plagarism prevention service, GradeMark and Peer Review from
Turnitin.com. If you wish students to submit papers to Turnitin.com
for checking you will need to either create a Turnitin assignment
through Blackboard (easiest solution) or create a course
on Turnitin.com (if you wish to use Peer Review) to which
you or your students can submit papers.
Papers submitted to Turnitin are compared against billions
of Internet documents, an archived copy of the Internet,
Turnitin's local databases of submitted student papers,
and the ProQuest commercial database. Every paper submitted
to Turnitin becomes part of its database.
Turnitin is available through Blackboard. Using Turnitin
through Blackboard is the easiest option for faculty and
students who wish to use Turnitin's plagarism checking service
and Grademark for scoring papers. See the information below
for faculty and student guides to using Turnitin through
Blackboard.
