Web Publishing for Students - Detailed Instructions

Attention: New Web Publishing Procedure Effective 5/14/2005

A new, easier web publishing system has been developed for publishing student web pages.
Effective May 14, 2005 all students will publish their web sites through their EdShare account.   It will no longer be necessary to update web permissions or setup web accounts through EdWeb.  Publishing a web site will be as easy as dragging and dropping files to a folder called public_html in your EdShare folder.

All currently published web sites for students will automatically be moved on 5/14 to their new location on EdShare.  You don't have to do anything to make this happen!

Web addresses for students will also change to the new address: http://myweb.stedwards.edu/loginname.

Current web page addresses will be redirected to the new address until Sept. 30, 2005.  However, publishing of new web pages must be done on EdShare after May 14th.

If you need assistance or have questions about the new procedure please contact the Computer Help Desk at 448-8443 or helpline@acad.stedwards.edu.
