Select high school counselors from across the state of Texas are invited to attend the 2008 Summer Counselor Visit Program, which is being hosted by the Undergraduate Admission Office. At this two-day event, the visiting counselors will have the opportunity to intimately experience campus life and learn about the unique academic programs that St. Edward's University has to offer. They will also have a chance to tour the city and see why Austin has been named by Travel & Leisure magazine as one of the top five cities in America for best cultural attractions, best night life and being the friendliest. A kick-start program for students with little or no experience to get them started on guitar or piano, or both. The 9th annual summer workshop for middle and high school students is one of our most popular camps. Morning workshops will deal with text analysis, voice and diction, theatre history, stage combat, physical acting and much, much more. For those who choose to be part of the Full-Day Workshop, the afternoon sessions will be focused on the performance of scenes from a selected Shakespearean play, which will be performed at the end of the workshop. Performance will take place on Saturday, June 21.
Instructors: ASF Artistic Director Ann Ciccolella, ASF Company member Gwen Kelso, and guest artists from ASF and the SEU Theatre Department. Fee: $140 Half-Day / $250 Full-Day with Production Lab. |
