  6. Do I discard the parking permit at the end of the semester? What is the expiration date of the parking permit?
The registration period for students extends for one year beginning Aug. 16. The registration period for all others extends for one year beginning July 1.
  7. If I ride a bicycle to school where can I park?
Bike racks are located on the south side of East Hall, north side of Teresa Hall, west side of Moody Hall, between the Ragsdale Center and Fondren Hall, front of the Recreation & Convocation Center and the east side of the Library. You must provide your own lock.
  8. What if I can not find a parking space?
A parking permit signifies that an individual has been granted the privilege of parking on university property. It is no guarantee of a parking space or to be near the place where one works, resides or attends class. The responsibility of finding a legal parking space rests with the vehicle operator and lack of space is not a valid excuse for violation of any parking regulation.
  9. Will the Police Department provide a temporary handicap permit for injured athletes, students, or faculty and staff members?
No. State law regulates the distribution of Handicap Permits. You will need to contact your health care provider and the Travis County Tax Collector's office. Download the Disabled Person Identification Application (.pdf). View tax office locations.
