For upperclassmen who seek a different living experience, the "Casitas," and "Casa" are available. Next to the Dujarie and Moreau residence halls, this complex allows 128 students to enjoy house-style living. The Casitas and Casa are two-stories. Casitas consist of five single bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each of the four units contains a common living area for the five residents to share. The Casa consists of a combination of single and double rooms, with up to nine students sharing three semi-private baths. The Casa building has an elevator, kitchen and two laundry facilities. Students in this complex have access to all of the amenities of Jacques Dujarie Hall. One RA lives in each of the Casitas and two RAs live in the Casa.

Residence Director, Doreen-Marie Esparza 

My name is Doreen-Marie Esparza and this is my first year as Residence Director for the Casa. I recently graduated from St. Edward’s with a BA in Psychology. I will be pursuing my Master’s in Higher Education Administration at UT this fall.

I enjoy discovering new restaurants around town with friends, playing board games, listening to live music, and watching sporting events on campus! Feel free to stop by my office next to the Dujarie computer labs if you have any questions or want to say hi. I look forward to this year and am excited to be a part of the Casa community!

My name is Jonlee Martinez this is my second year as a resident assistant, but my first year living in the Casas. I hail from Corpus Christi; Texas and love late night food runs to Whataburger. I am a junior this year and my major is Criminology.

I am an Eagle Scout, and therefore love the outdoors. I really like watching movies and playing ping-pong. I hope to help create a strong community that will enhance the school year experience. I am excited to find out with this new year brings and am looking forward to meeting my neighbors.

Hi! My name is Christine Pegg. This will be my second year living in the wonderful Casa community, and my first year as an RA. I'm a Communication major here at St. Ed's and it's my Senior year (wow, college has flown by).

I love traveling, music, movies, and most sports. I am a huge baseball fan. My favorite teams are the Boston Red Sox, The Houston Astros (my hometown boys), and of course, the Hilltoppers! This year I hope to be able to make it out to a few Round Rock Express games. I also enjoy exploring Austin every chance I get. This is such a great place to be!

I look forward to getting to know everyone in the Casa this year! Feel free to say hi and please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything at all that I can help you with. It's going to be an awesome year and I could not be more excited!
