Doyle/New Residence Hall

Students who select this option will be among the first to live in the newest residence hall, which opens in Spring 2009. They will live in Doyle Hall in Fall 2008 and the new hall in the spring. (The university will provide moving services.) Doyle Hall is a coed building in which each single-sex floor shares restroom and shower facilities. The first floor holds laundry facilities, a computer lab and a kitchen.

After Doyle Hall is converted into office space in Spring 2009, it will no longer serve as a residence hall. The new hall will be a coed facility where freshmen can live in a four-person suite with a shared bathroom. Doyle Hall Staff

Residence Director
My name is Roy Pequeño and I am excited to be back on the hilltop.  After graduating from St. Edward’s, with a Bachelors in Spanish International Business, I joined the Holy Cross Associates as a volunteer.  My two and a half year commitment allowed me to experience being a teacher, campus minister, food minister and live in South America (Bolivia for four months and Chile for two years).  I am originally from South Texas – Edinburg area – but refer to Humble as home.  I enjoy playing racquetball and various other sports, camping, reading, watching movie, listening to music, and, of course, chillaxin’ whenever possible.

With Doyle closing at the end of the semester and the new hall opening, this is going to be an exciting year to be part of the community.  We are making history!

RA Staff
Jeremy Ortiz
Hey, my name is Jeremy Ortiz and this is my third year at St. Edwards. Last year I was an RA in the Maryhill/Hilltopper Heights Apartments, but I'm excited to spend this upcoming year in Doyle/Edmund Hunt and Le Mans Hall. I'm originally from Houston, but since 1996 Pflugerville has been home. My major is Psychology and my minor is Kinesiology, and I'm striving to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the university level or with professional athletes. The most important things in my life are GOD, FAMILY, and FRIENDS! I LOVE AUSTIN, playing sports (soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, ping-pong, and pool) Barton Springs, Music, Hey Cupcake, Batman, Snowbeach, and Ben's BBQ. I enjoy wake boarding/tubing, movies and lots more!!! Just ask : )

Niles Sneed
Hey, I’m Niles Sneed!  I’m from Houston, via. Cincinnati. My family is African American, Jamaican, and Native American, aka Black. I love Drifting, Drafting, Sparring, Laughing, Fashion, Traveling, Dancing, and Championing (it’s a word!). I’ve been through much and view life’s trials as adding depth to one’s spirit, the lowest you’ve ever been makes the heights that much more enjoyable. My favorite animal is the Wolf, I’ll own some. Let’s play Mgs4, Socom, Halo3, G.O.W., or any first person shooter! Tokyo Toys, Soccer, Foreign Movies, Art, and Rowing are some of my interests. My favorite area in Austin is The Domain, by far, and my favorite dish is either Whole Foods or Torchy's, lets get it! I lived in Doyle my Freshman Year, the St. Ed’s apartments for two years, but am more than glad to finally be back! Find me to talk about anything and enjoy as much of Austin as you can!!!

Theresa McClory
Hi! My name is Theresa McClory, and I am going into my third year at St. Ed’s. I’m really excited for my first year as an RA and I can’t wait to meet all my new residents. My goal for this year is to bring a lot of energy and excitement to the hall.

Here’s a little about me. I’m originally from Beaumont, Texas. I have three older brothers and three little nephews. I prefer lazy living to any other kind of life style. To borrow the words of a great man, “I’m living life in the fast lane, just in the passenger seat.” I love spending time with family and friends, being outside, laughing, Mario Kart, and my fish, Max. I’m pretty laid back and hope that each resident will come to know me better.
