Mission
To provide and support theoretical, practical and experiential leadership training and development opportunities through purposeful and collaborative efforts between academics and student services that help students develop the skills necessary to confront society’s critical issues and to promote social change through global understanding and civic involvement.

The leadership training programs, retreats and organizations for St. Edward's University students offer unique opportunities to gain the skills and knowledge required to become effective leaders.

LeaderShape
The LeaderShape Institute is an interactive, energizing, and unique experience that builds leadership skills no other program can match. Enhance your leadership skills by attending LeaderShape. Through this interactive program, you’ll clarify your role as a leader at St. Edward’s and beyond.

Student Leadership Team
The Student Leadership Team is the student organization that helps students develop and enhance their leadership and communication skills in a fun environment. These leaders will also assist other student organizations on campus by working with the students to achieve their leadership potential. The Student Leadership Team also coordinates the following programs:

• Hilltop Leaders
  Hilltop Leaders is a leadership program for 15 first and second year students based on the social change model. Participants explore topics of leadership at the individual, group and community level by participating in weekly topic-based sessions, completing a group service project, visiting the Texas State Capitol and traveling on a six-day leadership study tour of Washington, D.C.


• Leading E.D.G.E
  The Leading E.D.G.E. is dedicated to working with individuals and groups as they seek to reach their full potential through team-building sessions and topical leadership workshops. Leading E.D.G.E. is a resource for leadership knowledge, consulting and team-building.
  
  
  • Facilitators in Training Facilitators in Training (FIT) is a weekend program that teaches participants to work with groups to enhance group dynamics, communication, problem-solving and more using experiential learning and team building activities.
  
  
  
  • Leadership Tracks Leadership Tracks a leadership workshop series that focuses on a particular area of leadership. Students will have the opportunity to attend interactive workshops and various speaker series that focus on specific leadership areas.
  
  
  
  • CaboLead
    CaboLead is an exciting new global leadership program offered only at St. Edward’s. Participants will study a number of topics as they relate to the Southern Baja Peninsula of Mexico, including:
    • History
    • Economics
    • Politics
    • Social Issues
    
    
    After completing the six-week course, students will travel to the region and experience this dynamic culture firsthand.
