Facilitators in Training
The Leading E.D.G.E. is dedicated to working with individuals and groups as they seek to reach their full potential through team-building sessions and topical leadership workshops.
The Leading E.D.G.E. consists of facilitators who have gone through extensive training to facilitate groups through experiential activities that can focus on a variety of topics including:
- Getting to know each other
- Communication
- Trust
- Teamwork
- Conflic managment
- Decision-making
- Problem-solving
- Goal-setting
- Taking positive risks
To schedule a team-building session, please contact the Assistant Director of Leading E.D.G.E. – Facilitation and Training, Amanda Patrizi and our facilitators will be happy to work with you to find a time and design a session that meets your needs.
Leading E.D.G.E. has worked with: Academic Enrichment Tutoring, Health and Wellness Center Staff, Student Life Staff, Residence Hall Councils, Hispanic Student Association, Alpha Phi Omega, HillRaisers, Student Government Executive Board, University Programming Board, Student Service Council and more.
Facilitators in Training
Facilitators in Training (FIT) is a weekend program that teaches participants to work with groups to enhance group dynamics, communication, problem-solving and more using experiential learning and team building activities. Participants will:
- Attend a weekend workshop
- Complete 10 hours of shadowing
- Co-facilitate four sessions
- Complete a facilitation certification exam
FIT is offered in both the fall and spring semesters. Participants who successfully complete the program requirements are eligible to become Leading E.D.G.E. facilitators and will have learned techniques for working with groups that can be applied on campus with student organizations as well as in future work environments.

Leadership Tracks
Leadership Tracks is a leadership workshop series that focuses on a particular area of leadership. The first focus will be on Organizational Leadership. Students will have the opportunity to attend interactive workshops and various speaker series that focus on specific leadership areas.
The schedule for Leadership Tracks for the 2008 – 2009 school year will be available in September 2008.
